Introduction:
Nicola Broekhuysen’s work is a synthesis of photography and painting with both mediums drawing from and influencing each other. She believes that photographyis the study of ”seeing”. ”Photography allows us to find and capture the beauty and intrigue of objects or places that in everyday life are passed by un-noticed. I view photography as a means of awakening us to the visual intensity of life.”
